Singer Cher announced that she is bringing her hits and fabulousness to Broadway.
The Cher Show will be debuting on the Great White Way in Chicago for a brief run in Fall 2018.
The singer says the production has been in the works for 10 years and will be like her classic variety show, The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour.
Several actresses will play Cher during different stages of her life, and actors will also be playing her late husbands, Sonny Bono and Gregg Allman, as well as the man who crafted some of her most iconic costumes over the years, Bob Mackie.
Popwrapped reports the behind the scenes staff is just as impressive as the onstage ensemble.
Jason Moore (Avenue Q, Shrek the Musical) will be directing, Rick Elice (Jersey Boys) will be writing the book (or narrative structure of the musical), and Christopher Gattelli (Newsies) will be choreographing.
