Riverside Fundraiser for Salon Worker Injured in Vegas Shooting

A fundraiser has been started to help the families of three Riverside victims in the Las Vegas shooting and a hairstylist whose hands were wounded and left her unable to work.

Salon OC will donate all of its proceeds from 1-5pm Sunday to stylist Sandra Mitchell and to the families of Angie Gomez, Austin Davis and Christopher Roybal.

Half the money will go to Mitchell and the other half will be split in thirds for the other victim's families.

Salon owner Shelly Nordbeck says haircuts will be $20 and raffle tickets will go for $5 each, or 5 for $20.

“Sandra’s a hair stylist: She uses her hands every day. Who knows how long she’ll be out of a job. (And she is) an independent contractor, so no disability or funding.”

If you'd like to help, you can attend the fundraiser this Sunday at:

18791 Van Buren Blvd, Suite B in Riverside.

Or if you can't make it out, you can also donate to the GoFundMe page HERE.
