Interior Secretary Under Investigation for Flight Fraud

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is being investigated for tax-payer funded flights to decide if they were a legitimate government expense.

The department’s Office of Inspector General launched an investigation following reports last week that revealed a $12,375 flight Zinke chartered from Las Vegas to his home in Montana.

The investigation began the same day Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price was forced to resign when it was discovered he used private planes at taxpayer expense.

Zinke wasn't sorry about the flight, with sources saying he called the suggestion that he misused taxpayer resources “a little B.S.”

Inspector general, Nancy DiPaolo says the departments investigation will be incredibly thorough.

“We are looking into the secretary’s travel. It will likely include modes of transportation, costs and schedules.”
