Bail has been lowered for Suge Knight’s girlfriend - who was indicted this month on charges she violated a court order by allegedly selling a video clip sealed as evidence to the website TMZ.com.
A judge in Downtown L.A. agreed Wednesday to reduce bail from $2-million to $500,000 for Toi-Lin Kelly, who’s pleaded not guilty.
The indictment and other court documents filed by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office say Kelly was recorded in wiretapped phone calls attempting to arrange the sale of the video for $55,000.
The video shows the moment Knight ran over two men with his pickup truck in the parking lot of a restaurant in Compton in 2015. One of the men was killed.
Knight is awaiting trial on murder and attempted murder charges, and claims the killing was in self defense.
