FEMA Sets Up Irma Fact Checking Site

News sources all over the country have banded together to give people updates on the recent hurricanes that hit the United States.

However, some of those reports err on the side of false...though rather funny:

With more than just real life Sharkandos, media rumors have been swirling and FEMA has had enough.

“There is a lot of misinformation circulating online. Because rumors spread fast, please share this page and help us provide accurate information.”

FEMA says the fact check site will answer rumors that have been floating around like fake ones like flood waters carry the plague and undocumented people will be arrested if they go to shelters.

The site also warns people about scams and gives advice about what to do before trying to go back home.
