Democratic Senator Kamala Harris Hosts Roundtable with DACA Recipients

People in the U.S. under the deferred deportation program (otherwise known as DACA) have joined California Senator Kamala Harris to push for keeping the program. Harris said the Trump administration's policy on DACA has created a lot of uncertainty.

"People are in limbo right now. Give folks a pathway to citizenship and let them earn their citizenship. That's what folks want to do. That's what the immigrants we're talking about want to do."

At least ten attorneys general in states across the U.S. have told the president that they were considering suing if he didn't end the DACA program by early September.

Harris says people in the country under DACA are responsible for generating at least $11 billion for the American economy.
