Chase Suspect Caught on Laundromat Roof

A Santa Ana man ended up on the roof of a laundromat after leading police on a car chase.

Porfirio Andalco was initially pulled over for a traffic stop in Anaheim but drove off as the officer was checking his car's VIN number.

Andalco had his wife and three kids in the car, but he stopped near State College Boulevard and Ball Road and let them out.

He then drove into a strip mall and entered a laundromat where his mother works and climbed on to the roof.

He refused commands from police initially and after 30 minutes Andalco came down and surrendered peacefully.

Authorities say Andalco is on parole and has outstanding warrants for a robbery in the city.
