With the latest Powerball frenzy hundreds of people ran to buy their tickets to try their chances at the $700 million dollar jackpot
Lottery.com CEO Tony DiMatteo says demand from players was three times higher than it ever had been, so they decided to roll out an app to cater to the demand.
“When you play on our platform, you don’t have to worry about losing a ticket or your dog eating it. We’ll check those tickets for you, redeem the winnings and credit your account.”
The free app (search "Powerball lottery") is available for iPhone and android devices and lets you scan your ticket and track it.
The app gives you lotto results and notifications on your phone and will be rolled out on a state by state basis.
Lottery.com officials say California users will soon be able to buy their tickets from the app too.
