The Corona Public Library will have special sunglasses for viewing Monday's solar eclipse. Librarians say they have 200 of them that were provided by NASA and will distribute them at their event. The high demand for the items, coupled with an Amazon recall of possibly faulty ones, is leaving many shoppers scouring store shelves for shades.
Experts say the proper sunglasses for the eclipse block out most light except the sun. If your glasses allow you to see light from a lamp inside your home, they are likely not strong enough to offer the proper protection.
