(Los Angeles, CA) -- The former director of food services of the L.A. Unified School District heads to court today on charges of stealing thousands of dollars from the district. David Binkle will be arraigned this afternoon on charges of misappropriating public funds and embezzlement.
Binkle is accused of using his position to divert 65-thousand dollars in district money to a culinary club he controlled and to his personal bank account. He faces over 13 years in prison if fully convicted.
