Business Owners in L.A. Say City’s New Trash Program Crushing Them

The monthly trash bill has doubled for many Los Angeles business and building owners. Some owners are unhappy that the city forced the new plan on them. A beauty supply shop owner told KFI's Andrew Mollenbeck that she wishes they had been given options.

"At least if we could had a choice of who we want. We're not saying that they don't do a good job."

Pasqual Roberto, a sandwich shop owner says nothing about the service he's received has changed. "Everything else has to go up. We're going to have to change the price of the sandwiches and everything else going out of the store.

The city says they're receiving around 100 complaints a day about the program. The new program was meant to help encourage people to increase their recycling.
