Arcadia Apartment Complex Damaged By Fire

An apartment building in Arcadia has been heavily damaged by a fire that broke out just after 6 am Thursday morning. The two-story complex was damaged, with part of the roof collapsing. More than 40 people are now homeless after 14 units were damaged beyond repair.

Firefighters struggled for about 90 minutes to save the complex located around the 800 block of Fairview Avenue. The 

 Footage from helicopters over the scene appeared to be show the fire burning mostly in the attic of the structure. Firefighters could be seen cutting holes through the roof of the apartment to provide ventilation for the smoke. 

One injury was reported, a firefighter who needed treatment for an unspecified medical problem.
