Aliso Viejo, Seven Other OC Cities Named Among Top 100 Safest in Country

Congratulations to all those who live in Aliso Viejo, you reside in one of the top ten safest cities in America as named by the National Council for Home Safety and Security. With 63 violent crimes and 715 property crimes per 100,000 people, Aliso Viejo just makes the cutoff for the top ten. The NCHSS says they put the list together to help people decide whether the new city they're moving to will be safe for their family. 

One question that everyone has on their mind when moving to a new city is: Is it safe? Not only does this affect your decision to move to a place, it also affects the way you feel after you have settled down. Your health and wellness can be impacted by how comfortable you are when moving to a new place. In order to feel secure, citizens need to know that they will be alright no matter where they go in town whether they go to a public place or commuting to and from home.

The list names the top 100 safest cities in the country based on statistics that include violent and non-violent property crimes. The data was drawn from the most recent FBI and local law enforcement reports. 

If you're looking to settled down in the number 1 safest city in America, you'll find it in Thorton, Colorado. Greenwich, Connecticut came in second and Weston, Florida rounding out the top three. 

Aliso Viejo wasn't the only Orange County city on the list. Seven other cities also made the top 100 including Yorba Linda at #22, Laguna Niguel at #31, Mission Viejo at #39, Lake Forest at #49, San Clemente at #72, Irvine at #71 and Placentia at number #87 on the list.
