Your commute along the San Diego (405) Freeway could be getting worse - as if that's possible.
For the next fifteen nights, the 405 Freeway near Los Angeles International Airport will begin full and partial closures to allow for the construction of a bridge for the Crenshaw/LAX Line light rail project.
Depending on the work, the overnight closures will be full or partial directional closures. They're scheduled to start at 10 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. Monday to Friday. The freeway will remain fully open during the weekends.
Scheduled closures include:
- northbound lanes completely closed between Century and La Tijera boulevards overnights tonight through Friday night;
- partial closure of the northbound and southbound high occupancy vehicle lanes and the 1 and 2 lanes from Aug. 7 to Aug. 11; and
- southbound lanes fully closed between the La Cienega off-ramp and La Tijera on-ramp Aug. 14 to Aug. 18.
