LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) — A 93-year-old woman was fatally stabbed at an assisted living facility in Southern California and police arrested her roommate on suspicion of murder.
Police in Long Beach say Alice Pritchard was found with stab wounds to her upper body at the facility in Long Beach Monday afternoon. She was rushed to a hospital, where she died.
The suspect, 65-year-old Linda Womack, was detained at the scene. She could face a murder charge. It wasn't immediately known if she has an attorney.
It's unclear what led up to the stabbing. Police are still investigating.
