The Costa Mesa Police Department has created a Game of Thrones parody to drum up interest for new recruits.
In the short video, called "Game of Trades", a Jon Snow inspired character on a journey to find a new trade.
His travels land him at the Costa Mesa Police Department where he cut off his hair and began to train on the force.
The department’s training sergeant and public information officer teamed up to produce the minute-long video.
Costa Mesa Police Sergeant B. Le says this isn't the first funny video they made and it won't be their last.
“We’ve been continually looking for new recruits. This was part of that ongoing effort...We’re always trying to be innovative in terms of the recruitment and social media.”
