An Amber Alert was issued Thursday night after a 16-year-old boy was taken in Los Angeles by a woman authorities say is armed and dangerous.
Police say the teen was in the back seat of a car that was stolen in South Los Angeles. LAPD Det. Meghan Aguilar says the kidnapper pulled a gun on the teen's stepmom. Authorities say Kandice Johnson kidnapped Eric Coleman around 4pm on Thursday in a Los Angeles neighborhood.
The California Highway Patrol describes Eric as 5'8", weighing in at 150 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
Johnson is described as 5'3" and weighing 147 lbs. Her hair is described as multi-colored hair, with red and green. She was last seen driving a Toyota Camry with the license plate 7XWL023 the CHP said.
