The latest on the Josh Newman recall

We got some great news earlier this week. Carl DeMaio and his team behind the effort to recall state senator Josh Newman turned in nearly 85,000 signatures. 

That's huge, and it's way more signatures than the amount needed to trigger a recall election. But the fight is not over yet.

The slimy democrats got a bill passed that changes the rules for a recall right in the middle of our fight. 

Josh Newman supporters have also filed a suit alleging that the petition to remove him from office violates California election law with false statements about the car and gas tax.

This lawsuit is a joke. Newman is basically saying that the people who signed the petitions are stupid and don't know how to read. It's a petition to recall senator Josh Newman, it says it right up front.

The ultimate goal is to reverse the car and the gas tax, but it starts with recalling Josh Newman. Getting him out ends the democratic supermajority and it helps us in moving forward to repeal the tax completely.
