A suspected killer being pursued by LAPD officers near Hawthorne Thursday streamed live video of a shootout on Facebook Live.
The recording, which has since been taken down from the Facebook site, showed the man holding a handgun and walking towards officers before gunshots were heard and the stream ended, according to KABC-TV, which viewed the video on an individual's cellphone.

The LAPD said it was aware of the video and confirmed it was from Thursday's incident, which started when a man identified by Chief Charlie Beck as, "Knox," was tailed by plainclothes detectives from a home near 117th and Avalon Streets.
The surveillance turned into a pursuit, which ended in the gunfight in Hawthorne.
