Gal Gadot Slays the Box Office but not the Gender Pay Gap

Wonder Woman has been killing it at the box office both in reviews and revenue ($570 million worldwide), but it seems to not have translated into their star's paycheck.

The Daily Dot reports that Gal Gadot was paid only $300,000 for her role as the Amazonian super-heroine.

Gadot is locked in for a three-picture deal and is being paid that figure for each project; Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and Justice League.

While her base salary is at the 300K, history has shown there is room for bonuses.

Chris Evans received a base pay of $300,000 for his titular role in Captain America: The First Avenger.

However, the actors in the first Avengers film received anywhere between $2-6 million in bonuses, while Robert Downey Jr. took in $50 million for his role as Tony Stark.

Henry Cavill earned $14 million after playing Superman for the first time in Man of Steel
