A man claiming to be a Lyft driver exposed himself to a woman waiting for a ride from the ride-sharing company in the Fairfax district of Los Angeles.
The incident began just after midnight at Melrose and Martel Avenues according to Sgt. Brian Churchill of the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Station.
The woman called for a Lyft at the West Hollywood bar she was at and got into a Toyota Prius according to Churchill. The man driving the car stopped at Melrose and Martel avenues, claiming he needed to use the bathroom, but came back to the car with his pants down.
The woman fled the car, and got away safely from the now pant-less driver.
Churchill says people that use ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft should double check the car they're getting into and get a picture of their driver and license plate to compare to the vehicle that picks them up before getting inside.
Detectives are investigating the incident.
