For the first time, hikers climb El Capitan NAKED!

Hikers Leah Pappajohn and Jon Fleury made history by being the first people to climb El Capitan...NAKED.

The pair completed the climb in Yosemite Valley on June 6 in just 12 hours, which was a personal record for both. Pappajohn, a nudist, said they only used ropes, shoes, and packs on their backs.

She posted on her Facebook page:

“We did it! Jonathan and I climbed The Nose naked; the first naked ascent of El Cap! For you non-climbers out there, “naked” is not a fancy climbing term like “free”. It straight-up means I did it without any clothes.”

However, the climbers said they did get minor sunburns.
