Two men in the Bronx have been caught on video hurling avocados at a Bodega worker, breaking his jaw.
The attack happened in the Stadium Gourmet Deli near Yankee Stadium after they got into an argument over their food order.
Police say the clerk didn't speak English and couldn't understand the men. This made them angry and promoted the fruit slinging.
After being violently slammed with avocados and bananas, the 21-year-old employee was taken to the hospital with a broken jaw and cuts and fractures on his face.
He is in serious but stable condition, and an employee at the deli said he had to have surgery on his eyes.
Police released video of the attack, which happened on Memorial Day, yesterday in hopes of finding the two men believed to be in their 20s.
