Temperatures to spike across Southern California

It's about to get a lot warmer in Southern California as a spring heat wave takes over. Forecasters are predicting temperatures in the 80s across the greater Los Angeles areas with some spots seeing triple digits by the weekend.

The warmer weather has fire authorities nervous, as the hot and dry conditions will create an elevated danger of brush fires.

The warm weather is expected to last through the weekend in inland areas.
