Police discovered two people shot to death inside a car audio shop in Downey late Monday night after the owner of a car audio store shot three robbers, two of them fatally.
Reports of a shooting came in around 8:15 pm after witnesses said they heard about a dozen shots fired. Two men with gunshot wounds were found dead inside First Class Car Audio in the 8800 block of Rosecrans Avenue according to Downey Police.
"Detectives have determined three armed men entered the business and attempted to rob the business owner,'' police said. "Gunfire was exchanged during which the business owner shot all three suspects, two of whom died at the scene. The third suspect sought medical treatment for his gunshot wounds at a local hospital and is receiving medical care. Detectives are still questioning him.''
The owner of the business was not injured.
The two men who were shot were not identified by police.
