Police in Pasadena said Tuesday detectives had arrested eight men in connection with a series of shootings and murders believed to be the result of a gang dispute.
“There was an active gang feud between a Pasadena and Duarte street gang at the center of the violence,” Chief Phillip Sanchez told reporters.
Three murders and two attempted murders that occurred in Pasadena between December, 2016 and January, 2017 have been connected with the men under arrest, who are allegedly members of the gang in Duarte, investigators said.
At least seven of the eight were expected to face murder or attempted murder charges, and police said the other man was part of conspiracies to commit the crimes.
“We believe that other shootings may have been committed by these individuals,” Sanchez said, and asked for more help from the public in solving those cases.
