An LGBT group in North Carolina claims they are being discriminated against because they are Donald Trump supporters.
The group, called Deplorable Pride, say they have been barred from entering their float in Charlotte, North Carolina's Pride Parade based on their political leanings.
Group co-founder Derek Van Cleve says parade organizers took issue with the President's campaign slogan "Make America Great Again" and having a dancer dressed as First Lady Melania Trump be features on the float.
"The LGBT community is known for including everyone. Pretty sad that the organizers for this parade have decided not to include both parties.
Van Cleve says three weeks after applying, Charlotte Pride sent them a rejection email.
"This message is to confirm that we have received your application for entry in the 2017 Charlotte Pride Parade. Unfortunately, we are not able to approve your application."
Charlotte Pride said in a written statement that they reserve "the right to decline participation at our events to groups or organizations which do not reflect the mission, vision and values of our organization."
"In the past, we have made similar decisions to decline participation from other organizations espousing anti-LGBTQ religious or public policy stances."
