Only 21% of students who entered the Cal State system in 2012 now have a degree. That's fewer than CSU administrators would like, but up from 19% the previous year and 13% in 2000. The figures come from vice-chancellor Jeff Gold, who reported them to a state Senate committee this week. The university has set a target of a 40% graduation rate, which it hopes to achieve by 2025.
