A shooting in Compton has left a 4-year-old wounded authorities said on Wednesday. The child, whose condition was not immediately released, was taken to a hospital by sheriff's department personnel according to Deputy Ryan Rouzan.
It's unclear if anyone else was injured in the shooting.
The shooting occurred around 11:45 am at Compton Boulevard and Lime Avenue according to Rouzan. Police are searching for the suspect.
