They mayor of the city of Hayward has apologized for a meme posted on twitter that read "Lets Taco Bout It," in an effort to remind its citizens that they were set to vote on becoming a sanctuary city.
Mayor Mayor Barbara Halliday said:
"I don't really know what to say in response. This was absolutely inappropriate."
However, support for the city making its stance a sanctuary city was almost unanimous despite the tweet.
