A sketch of a ‘person of interest’ was released Wednesday in the unsolved 2009 murder of an attorney in Rolling Hills Estates.

The person in the sketch was said to be a Black man in his 30s, and the sketch was released about a month after detectives and the victim’s family announced a $100,000 reward for information that closes the case.

Attorney Jeffrey Tidus was 53-years-old when he was shot to death on December 7, 2009 in the driveway of his home in the 4600 block of Sugarhill Drive.

“We feel that his murder is related to one of the numerous civil actions, civil lawsuits that he’s been involved with over the years,” L.A. County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Lt. Victor Lewandowski said at a news conference in April.

“We’ve had several people come forward with information that has rekindled the investigation,” he said.

Anyone with information on the person in the sketch should call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
