Petition Circulating to Save "Last Man Standing" and Boycott ABC

A petition to save the cancelled "Last Man Standing" is circulating online and is calling for a boycott of ABC.

The Change.org petition, "Save Tim Allen's Show 'Last Man Standing'" was started by Deputy Matt and has since garnered more than 200,000 signatures.

ABC announced the show's cancellation after six seasons last week.

The petition calls the show a stand out among other sitcoms.

"It is a show that appeals to a broad swath of Americans who find very few shows that extol the virtues with which they can identify; namely conservative values.”

While the petition isn't outright asking for a network boycott, Deputy Matt isn't shying away from the idea of it.

“The intent of this petition/boycott is to attempt to get ABC to renew the show. With that in mind, I will no longer be watching any ABC shows. I have cancelled the DVR settings for the other ABC shows that I regularly watch. If you want to help try to save Last Man Standing, I encourage you to do the same.”

The cancellation comes coincidentally after the show's star Tim Allen made controversial remarks about free speech and Nazism.

While on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" he said:

"You gotta be real careful around here [because] you’ll get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes...It’s like ’30s Germany.”
