Marine Dad Comes Home, Surprises Kids at "Pirates" Show

We've all seen, and cried, at those beautiful videos where service members come home to surprise their loved ones after being away for long periods of time.

However, one Buena Park marine, and father of two, surprised his children in a more theatrical way.

Marine Sergeant AJ Williams, an explosive ordinance disposal tech stationed at Camp Pendleton, showed up at the Pirates Dinner Adventure show in full pirate mode.

His two children, eleven-year-old Mariah and three-year-old Xavier, were in the audience with their mother Jennifer.

“Originally we were just going to have the kids go, but we don’t ever do anything plain in our family, my kids love the pirate’s show, so we just figured why not surprise them here.”

Sgt. Williams had last served in Syria and hadn't seen his family in over seven months.

"I missed Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, everything. The whole holiday season I was out, but I’m just happy to be back now, and I got back just in time for my daughter’s birthday which is next month.”

Once the family was on stage and Williams unveiled himself, the crowd erupted into cheers and it was nothing but love.
