Los Angeles residents get to do their civic duty once again as voters head to the polls to decide on two new school board members, two new L.A. City Council members, and on Measure C - a measure that would change how police officers face discinplinary hearings.

Winners of the school board and council races will get to serve a slightly longer term thanks to a onetime change in election cycles. They'll serve 5 and a half-year terms, instead of the usual four-year term.

Polls open at 7 am and will close later tonight at 8pm. Residents can find where they vote today with the county's website at LAvote.net/locator for more informations.
