A suspect who brandished a semi-automatic handgun was shot and wounded by a security guard in Mid-City on Wednesday evening according to authorities.
The incident began late on Wednesday evening as a possible robbery at a pot shop in the 4800 block of Adams Boulevard a spokesperson for the LAPD's Southwest Division said. Officers and LA Fired Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the suspect to Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
The suspect's condition is unknown.
