Pasadena Humane Society Launches "Kids for Animals" Initiative

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA has launched a program that will provide opportunities to children of all ages who love animals and want to help them.

Kids for Animals is meant to start a movement of kids being kind to animals.

The main piece of the program is the adjoining handbook, a 12 page full-color pamphlet that has suggestions for different ways for kids to get involved with animals.

The participating children are first asked to sign a pledge saying they will work hard to help animals and complete at least one service project a year.

The Kids for Animals handbook is available at the Pasadena Humane Society located at:

361 S. Raymond Ave. Pasadena, CA 91105

It is also available for download, along with a list of children’s programming, at www.pasadenahumane.org/kids.

Jennifer spoke to the society's CEO Julie Bank this morning to discuss the initiative and all the ways parents can get their kids involved.
