Psych fans, rejoice!
The long-running USA comedy mystery series is coming back as a movie this winter.
We last saw the gang in the series finale where Sean and Gus followed Juliet up to San Francisco while the rest of the team stayed in Santa Barbara.
According to USA Network: "[Psych The Movie] picks up three years after the series finale. The ambitious friends -- along with some returning fan-favorite characters -- come together during the holidays after a mystery assailant targets one of their own. A comedic thrill-ride follows, as the wild and unpredictable Psych team pursues the bad guys, justice … and, of course, food!
Most of the core cast is returning for the movie including Lassiter (Timothy Omundson), Juliet (Maggie Lawson), Henry (Corbin Bernsen), Chief Vick (Kirsten Nelson) and of course Shawn Spencer(James Roday) and his best friend, Burton “Gus” Guster (Dulé Hill).
Psych creator Steve Franks, who co-wrote the movie with Roday, is directing. The return of the original actors and the creator sets it up to be a great reunion for fans.
Production doesn't start until May 24th but we are already counting down the days until December.
