The new Guardians of the Galaxy movie is making its way to the box office today and is set to kick off the summer movie season with a bang!
Projections for the film are in the range of $150-170 million from the opening domestically and should break $250 million globally.
This sequel comes after the incredibly popular 2014 "Guardians of the Galaxy" which opened to more than $94 million domestically and by the end of it's run it raked in $333 million stateside and $440 million overseas.
The movie stars Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Groot) and Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon) as the Guardian crew as they save the galaxy once again while having to traverse the landmine that is Peter Quill's (Chris Pratt) parentage.
