More than 160 Firefighters Knock Down Fire In Downtown Los Angeles

More than 160 firefighters were called to the scene of a major emergency fire today in the Westlake district where a vacant four-story apartment and two-story building caught on fire, but no one was hurt.

No injuries have been reported.

The blaze broke out at around 2 in the morning on S. Bonnie Brae St according to Amy Bastman from the Los Angeles Fire Department. The fire was knocked down in under ninety minutes thanks to the work of 161 firefighters who responded to the scene.

The fire also caused the evacuations of two buildings and a nearby convalescent home, but the order has since been lifted according to Bastman.

Arson investigators are on scene to try and determine the cause of the blaze.
