A 26-year-old man has pleaded no contest to leaving his 9-month-old daughter in his car while he went to a strip club.
Auwin Dargin of Van Nuys entered the no contest plea on Wednesday to a felony count of child abuse according to Deputy District Attorney Julie Kramer.
The baby was discovered in Dargin's car after being left there for more than 40 minutes on March 9th of last year. Employees from the strip club and neighboring businesses spotted the baby, who was sweating and crying, and confronted the father.
Dargin was sentenced to 10 days in county jail, along with 5 years of probation, 45 days of highway department work and 52 weeks of parenting classes.
