Father is Being Sought in the Abduction of 10 Year Old Son

Authorities are asking for help to find a 10-year-old boy who has been allegedly abducted by his father.

Orange County Sheriff's Department says Jamie Zepeda was supposed to return his son Jaime Huerta to his estranged wife last night, but never showed up.

Jaime was last seen at his Linda Vista Elementary School in Mission Viejo at 1 pm yesterday.

Jaime's mother has a restraining order against Zepeda, and authorities say he violated it against him this week when he was accused of following her in Laguna Hills.

Zepeda is described as a 5-foot-3 tall Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes and may be driving either a 2002 Ford F150 or a 1997 Toyota Celica.

Jaime is described as a 4-foot-10, Hispanic child with black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing black shorts, a gray sweater and black tennis shoes.

Investigators say that Zepeda may be heading to Mexico with Jaime.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's department.
