A grass fire that might have started in a homeless encampment is burning around 1-2 acres in Montecito Heights at Ernest E. Debs Regional Park.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department said the fire started around 4pm near the 4000 block Monterey Road. The fire department has dispatched ground and air crews to try and control the fire.
The area seems to be pretty green but the strong winds make the firs unpredictable.
