Metro is now charging riders to park at the Noho and Universal City Red Line Stations.

The parking lots have been free since opening in 2000, but due to the high volume of people taking advantage of the parking at these lots, people who actually use the Red Line are finding fewer spots available to them.

The new parking machines require patrons to have a T card and your license plate number so that Metro can keep track of who paid for parking. Parking will now cost you $3 per 24 hours. However, for people who don't want to pay the parking fee and still park at the lot will receive a $53 fine.
