"Everyone Is Welcome" in L.A.

Los Angeles tourism officials have revealed a promotional video with the message “Everyone is welcome” — which many see as a response to President Trump’s proposed travel ban.

The video depicts people of various ethnic backgrounds hugging, dancing and  hanging out at such L.A. tourist spots as the Original  Farmer’s Market, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Venice Beach and Olvera Street.

Los Angeles County had 47.3 million visitors last year. It was the sixth consecutive year of record-breaking tourism.

Some officials are worried, however, that the tone of the current administration could discourage foreigners from visiting.

The video does not mention Trump, but the creators of the campaign said the the intent is to combat any sense that Los Angeles is not welcoming to people from all over.
