36-year-old Reinaldo De Jesus Henao was arrested on suspicion of stealing hundreds of phones during the Coachella Art and Music Festival.
Authorities said that several concertgoers noticed their phone was missing and activated their “Find My Phone” feature, where they were able to find and follow the suspect who turned out to be Henao. He was later detained by security and arrested by Indio Police officials.
Henao is reported to have more than 100 cellphones in his backpack. Several of the phones were returned to the owners while the remaining phones were turned into lost and found.
Henao faces grand theft and possession of stolen property charges.
