Jerry Brown probably wishes he became a priest. He preaches about climate change like he's high in a pulpit, and he tries to twist his message into one that's Christian and moral.

On Saturday he announced that he pardoned 72 ex-cons and issued 7 commutations, continuing his tradition of showing compassion for criminals around Christian holidays.

Most of the pardons were for people with drug offenses and other lower-level crimes, and for people who had already completed their sentences.

With Prop 57, what even makes for a "low-level crime" these days? You can get away with almost anything!

Other people pardoned were three illegal immigrants, who were deported to Mexico after serving in the U.S. military, and a teenage mother who killed her newborn after giving birth in a bathtub.

Jerry Brown has now issued 1,330 pardons, including 404 during his first two terms as Governor from 1975 to 1983.
