Anaheim Police Officer Helps Old Man Cross Street

A video has surfaced of an Anaheim police officer helping an elderly man cross a busy street, and it is going viral across social media.

The video shows officer David Ramos escorting an elderly man, who was moving slowly through an intersection, to the other side of the street.

Ramos was in his patrol car, with his partner David Heinzel, at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Euclid Street when a bystander watched and recorded him get out of his unit and assist the man.

In just 4 days, the video has been viewed over 320,000 times.

Sgt. Daron Wyatt said, "This is the kind of thing that cops do around the nation every single day but is rarely seen (by the public) or publicized."

He continued, "We are thankful to the man who sent it to us.  He saw a nice, compassionate act and wanted to make us aware of it and for the public to see what occurs."
