A sign posted on the Pacific Coast Highway is causing some controversy in Malibu.
The blue sign sits under the Malibu city limit sign reading:
“OFFICIAL SANCTUARY CITY ‘Cheap Nannies and Gardeners Make Malibu Great!’ (Boyle Heights Not So Much)”
People weren't amused, especially city politicians.
Malibu City council members Laura Rosenthal and Rick Mullen say the sign has to be a prank and not put up by the city.
City Manager Reva Feldmen says the sign will be removed as soon as possible.
So far no one has claimed responsibility for posting the sign, but fingers are being pointed on Twitter.
