Arraignment for four former Los Angeles County child welfare workers charged in connection with the abuse death of an 8-year-old boy in Palmdale was delayed Monday.
The four were ordered to return to court April 17 to enter pleas to child abuse and false records charges.
A judge ruled in March prosecutors had shown enough evidence at a preliminary hearing to hold the four for a jury trial.
They're accused of ignoring or minimizing abuse reports in the months and weeks before Gabriel Fernandez was killed in 2013.
The boy's mother and her then-boyfriend have been charged with the murder and are awaiting trial.
