DNC to Staffers: Resign Now!

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has requested all current staffers to resign.

Sources close to the party say an adviser to the outgoing DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile was asked to have every employee to submit a resignation letter dated for April 15th.

DNC spokeswoman Xochitl Hinjosa says massive turnovers like this isn't unusual when new bosses are ushered in.

"The process was started before the election of the new Chair. From the beginning, Tom has been adamant that we structure the DNC for future campaigns. Current and future DNC staff will be integral to that effort. Over the last few months, the DNC staff has done incredible work under immense pressure to hold Trump accountable."

Perez is now the third leader for the party during it's most tumultuous year yet.

Crises and scandals have rocked the DNC, with accusations they favored Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders, email hacks, and the presidential election loss.

California Governor Jerry Brown says the political veteran Perez has a long road a head of him .

"I wouldn't wish that on anybody...I was the Democratic Party chairman in California — it's a miserable job. So, Tom, too bad."

Perez has spent his first few weeks as chair listening to small group meetings and Democrats in Washington.

"What we're trying to do is culture change...we're repairing a plane at 20,000 feet. You can't land the plane, shut it down, and close it until further notice."

The DNC says they are looking on a national scale to fill major party positions and are also looking to review contracts with outside vendors and consultants.
